What is an Exness demo account?

A demo account uses virtual funds to simulate trading. It can help you learn where orders, positions and account information appear without placing real money at market risk in that practice account.

The virtual balance is not withdrawable money. A positive demo result is not income and does not show what you will earn in a live account.

How to get started

  1. Follow the official Exness registration or demo-account instructions.
  2. Choose a supported platform and check that you are using the demo environment.
  3. Make the practice balance and position sizes relevant to what you are trying to learn.
  4. Review the instrument details before experimenting with order controls.

A useful practice checklist

  • Find the difference between account balance, equity and available margin.
  • Understand how position size changes exposure.
  • Practice reviewing order details before confirming an order.
  • Locate stop-loss and take-profit settings and read how they work.
  • Learn how to close a position and inspect the transaction history.
  • Check that you can identify your platform, account type and server.

What a demo cannot tell you

Real money changes how people respond to uncertainty. A simulated experience also cannot promise the same execution or conditions during a live market event. Treat demo practice as interface learning and experimentation, not proof of a profitable strategy.

There is no deadline to fund a live account. If you cannot explain the product, its costs or the possible loss, pause and learn more. Choosing not to trade is a valid decision.
